Welcome to V-Panner

V-Panner is a Surround Panner Utility used with V-Control Pro. With V-Panner and Pro Tools, users can control surround panning for tracks or use Atmos Mode and control the Dolby Atmos Panning Plug-in. Users can also control the stereo panning in Logic and Cubase.

Installation And Setup

Setting Up V-Panner (Web App) on an iOS device.

  1. Launch V-Control Pro on Host Computer.
  2. Open the Safari app on the iOS device and go to vcontrolpro.com
  3. Go to V-Panner in the Mobile Apps section.
  4. Touch install and Add V-Panner to Homescreen when asked.
  5. Open V-Panner from the homescreen and name the device.
  6. In the settings section of V-Panner for the Connection, select the host computer that is running V-Control Pro and the D.A.W.

Setting Up V-Panner On iPad.

  1. Launch V-Control Pro on the Host Computer.
  2. Launch iTunes/App Store on the iPad.
  3. Search for V-Panner in the Search bar.
  4. Tap GET and Install V-Panner.
  5. Launch V-Panner on the iPad.
  6. Tap the Gear Icon on the top left corner and select the connection type.

Setting Up V-Panner on an Android device.

  1. Launch V-Control Pro on Host Computer.
  2. Open the Web Browsing app on the Android device and go to vcontrolpro.com
  3. Go to V-Panner in the Mobile Apps section.
  4. Touch Install and add V-Panner to the Homescreen.
  5. Open V-Panner from the Homescreen and name the device.
  6. In the settings section of V-Panner for the Connection, select the host computer that is running V-Control Pro and the D.A.W.

Setting Up V-Panner on a Web Browser

  1. Launch V-Control Pro on Host Computer.
  2. Open your Web Browser on your computer and go to vcontrolpro.com
  3. Go to V-Panner in the Mobile Apps section.
  4. Go to Install and then name the device.
  5. In the settings section of V-Panner for the Connection, select the host computer that is running V-Control Pro and the D.A.W.

  • Setting Up With Pro Tools

    Here are the instructions to setup V-Panner with Pro Tools.

    1. Launch V-Control Pro.
    2. Launch V-Panner on your device and connect to V-Control Pro.
    3. Launch Pro Tools.
    4. In Pro Tools go to "Setup/MIDI/Input Devices.."
    5. In Pro Tools go to "Setup/Peripherals". Select "MIDI Controllers"

  • Using V-Panner In Pro Tools

    Here are the functions of V-Panner for Pro Tools. There are two sides for V-Panner with each panner having its own navigation control.

  • Pro Tools: Touch here to switch V-Panner to Pro Tools Mode.
  • Atmos: Touch here to switch V-Panner to Atmos Mode.

  • Setting Up V-Panner with the Dolby Atmos Panning Plug-in

    V-Panner can be used to control the Dolby Atmos Panning plug-in in Pro Tools. Here is how to set it up.

    1. Launch V-Control Pro
    2. Launch Pro Tools
    3. Launch V-Panner on the iPad
    4. Touch the Atmos button in V-Panner to switch to Atmos Mode.
    5. Insert Dolby Atmos Panner on a Mono or Stereo track in Pro Tools.
    6. Open Dolby Atmos Panner plug-in window.
    7. Select the Gear icon in the plug-in window to open the Settings.
    8. In the Joystick Device box do the following:
    9. You can setup a separate mono dolby panner plug-in as well:

    NOTE: As it stands, only one panner plug-in can be active at a time. To activate the panner for control, click in the the plug-in panning window in Pro Tools to select and activate it. The background color of the window will be blue to indicate it is active. It will be dark grey if inactive.
